KOHLER FEATURED CONVERSATIONS | INTERVIEWS
DIRECTOR | KENDALL GOLDBERG
PRODUCTION COMPANY | STRANGE LOOP
As the Director of Photography for this documentary-style interview series with Kohler, I collaborated with Director Kendall Goldberg and production company Strange Loop (Chicago) to create cinematic conversations featuring some of today’s most influential voices in design and art. One of the standout interviews highlights the CEO of Kohler in dialogue with renowned contemporary artist Daniel Arsham, while another features internationally recognized designer Komal Kotwal.
The shoots took place across two distinct locations—Kohler’s global headquarters in Wisconsin and on location in Houston, Texas. Both productions were executed as three-camera lit interviews, carefully designed to maintain a polished, professional yet authentic documentary feel.
I traveled with my RED Komodo camera package, paired with Cooke S4 lenses. This setup was selected for its ability to render flattering, natural skin tones and introduce a subtle warmth across the long-form interview footage. The combination of multiple angles, consistent lighting, and cinematic glass allowed for dynamic storytelling that elevated these conversations beyond standard corporate interviews.
This project reflects my role as a Director of Photography specializing in documentary cinematography, multi-camera interview setups, and high-end corporate storytelling—blending the precision of commercial filmmaking with the authenticity of documentary filmmaking.
