Mark levinson 5909 headphones | commercial
Production Company | Bauie Rad
Director | Mike Schwartz
The Mark Levinson 5909 noise cancelling headphones combine luxury craftsmanship with immersive listening, and this commercial captures that story through cinematic visuals and refined product photography. Shot in Los Angeles, these short spots highlight how advanced noise cancellation lets listeners tune out distraction and experience music with absolute clarity.
As Director of Photography, I shaped the commercials visual identity to reflect the headphones’ premium design and audio excellence. The project was filmed in Los angeles on the ARRI Alexa LF with ARRI Supreme Prime lenses, delivering stunning clarity, depth, and detail. Every shot was executed on Steadicam, allowing smooth, controlled movement that glides around the headphones and emphasizes form, texture, and precision.
Lighting was carefully crafted to accentuate the materials — brushed aluminum, leather EAR-CUPS, and subtle branding while also echoing the product’s promise of silence and focus. Macro shots and product photography gave a tactile presence to the headphones, while the cinematic mood paralleled the experience of escaping into sound.
The result is a high-end commercial that presents the 5909 as more than just headphones: they are an invitation to tune out the noise, focus on the music, and immerse yourself in luxury sound.
