This series of commercials for eBay Motors showcased the brand’s “eBay Guaranteed Fit” program, highlighting how aftermarket parts are designed to fit perfectly and elevate every kind of build. Shot in Los Angeles over three fast-paced days, the campaign featured three unique stories — each tied to a different character and their car.

Working with director Matt Bowman and production company The Many, we created three distinct looks to reflect each personality: one set in a traditional auto shop, another taking viewers into the wilderness with a Jeep, and the third immersing audiences in the energy of a custom tuner shop. Though each spot had its own tone, the throughline was clear — with eBay Guaranteed Fit, aftermarket parts are reliable, seamless, and part of the driver’s identity.

As Director of Photography, I was tasked with developing three cinematic styles within just three days. We shot on the Sony Venice 2 with a Panavision 30–80mm spherical large format zoom lens, which gave us the speed, versatility, and image quality needed to move quickly while maintaining a polished look. Each environment called for a unique lighting design and visual approach — from product-driven detail shots of aftermarket parts to wide, lifestyle-driven car sequences.

The campaign blends character-driven storytelling with precise technical execution, positioning eBay Motors’ eBay Guaranteed Fit as both trustworthy and aspirational.
